Description

Subject Matter:

Created by a prominent American abstract sculptor, this drawing is likely a study after one of his sculptures. Lipton's abstract sculptures were often meant to convey the complexities of the human psyche.

Physical Description:

This drawing on paper shows an abstract sculptural object on a rectangular base. The object has one large spike coming from the base, with a large tree-like spikes branching out from the top. There is a double horizon line in the background where the artist has signed and dated the work in black crayon (c.r.) "Lipton 57".
