Description

Subject Matter:

Created by a prominent American abstract sculptor, this drawing is likely a study after one of his sculptures. Lipton's abstract sculptures were often meant to convey the complexities of the human psyche.

Physical Description:

This drawing on paper shows an abstract sculptural object with a cyclindrical element through the middle of the structure. There is a single horizon line in the background on which the artist has signed and dated the drawing in black crayon (c.l.) "Lipton 71".
