This is one in a series of paintings that use brightly-colored acrylics to create lines and structures on white paper. Barley aims to focus on the construction and deconstruction of structure. In doing so, she uses form to explore space and meaning.

This painting shows an abstract composition, created with thick, overlapping lines in semi-opague blue paint on paper.
