Saito Kiyoshi was a 20th-century Sosaku-hanga artist, a movement that emphasized self-expression and the individual creation of prints. He issued his first prints in the now-famous "Winter in Aizu" series. This series was based on his hometown in Fukushima prefecture.

Physical Description:

This woodblock print depicts a person in heavy clothes walking between barren trees. To the person's left is a small shrine covered in snow. There is snow on the ground and a mountain in the distance. In the bottom left area is a red seal and a signature underneath it.
