Subject Matter:

Obi-makura

Obi-makura is a tool for putting kimono on. "Makura" means "pillows".Wrapping Obi-makura with Obi-age and putting it onto your back with obi.After tying cords at your front, shove tied cord into inside of Obi-ita. Obi-makura's function is to keep obi's shape neatly. Obi-age's function is to hide and support Obi-makura.

Obi Age
The obiage is an obi scarf, and it is a beautiful piece of fabric that serves the purpose of covering the makura (pillow) and usually helping to secure the bow of the obi.

 

Obi-Ita
Obi-ita is a tool for putting kimono on. It's also called "Mae-ita". It's made of pasting clothes on a piece of cardboard. It keeps the front of obi smooth.
