Description

Subject Matter:

Wild geese mate for life and are a symbol of homecoming and flight. 

Physical Description:

This woodblock depicts three pairs of geese in flight. The first pair is in the center of the image while the two other pairs fly away off to the left. They have orange bills and feet with intricate feather designs on their backs. The undersides are predominantly white. The background has a light blue sky with an out-of-focus riverbank and bamboo. there is a signature on the bottom right followed by a red circular seal.
