Subject Matter:

Published by OKA Press in 2004, this book contains reproductions of prints and drawings of patterns from botanical and paleontological sources that served as preparatory drawings for the public installations between 1990-2003, including one at the Miami International Airport, titled "A Walk on the Beach". Also included in the book are texts by the artist and a number of other scholars, including the paleontologist Andrew Knoll, artists Ulrike Meyer Stump and Dona Warner, and art historian and critic Arlene Raven.

Physical Description:

A published book containing text, prints and drawings. The cover is pale blue with a white pattern of a plant. On the title page, the artist dedicated and signed the book in black ink: "April 12, 2007 / given to the University of / Michigan Museum of Art / to recognize the contribution / of James Christen Steward. / Michele Oka Doner".
