Description

Subject Matter:

Miro began creating etchings fairly late in his career producing his first color etchings in 1952. The shapes and figures in his etchings are larger and more simple than his early paintings but still contain bold colors and abstract biomorphic forms, as here. Throughout his career, Miro worked with a variety of mediums, he was a painter, printmaker, and ceramicist.

Physical Description:

This is an abstract design with a green half-circle at the top and a blue one at the bottom, connected by a diagonal line. Between and around these are a large red squiggle, some dots and a large asterisk.
