Gifts of Art

Thank you for your interest in making a gift of art to UMMA. The Museum has one of the finest university art collections in the country, largely due to the support of many generous donors who have gifted works of art and monetary contributions.

Our acquisitions committee is taking a brief pause from reviewing gifts of art requests. We will resume reviewing new gift offers in June 2025.

If you are interested in supporting UMMA acquisitions, exhibitions, or programs in other ways, please contact Sydney Richards at syrichar@umich.edu.

Please note:

• Do not bring unsolicited artworks into the museum building.
• To allow sufficient time to process your Gift of Art by the end of the year, we cannot accept any offers submitted after October 1.
• All gift of art proposals are thoroughly reviewed by a committee to determine if they are an appropriate addition to UMMA’s collection. This review process is on hold until June 2025.
