Join us for a beautiful brunch and commemorative program to mark 50 years of Docent service to UMMA. This will be a time to connect with other docents and UMMA staff, share memories, and reflect together on the profound legacy of the program and the transition ahead.

We know this is a meaningful and emotional moment. Our hope is that this time together will:

  • Honor the commitment, generosity, and passion of UMMA’s docent community
  • Celebrate and reflect on the past 50 years of the volunteer-led tours and educational engagement
  • Recognize how docents have shaped the foundation of UMMA’s educational programs
  • Leave a legacy for future UMMA educators and staff, by contributing to a shared archive of photos and stories

PROGRAM LEGACY

As we close this chapter, UMMA is committed to preserving the docent program’s incredible history. A physical book and a digital archive will be produced and shared with all docents and the Bentley Historical Library. This compilation will include photos, oral stories, and written reflections.

We invite you to contribute to this project in any way that is meaningful to you. You can submit reflections, photos, or stories through this website or in person at the brunch event.
