A new interactive campus map from UMMA and the Art in Public Spaces team creates an easy-to-navigate digital tool to help everyone discover the full scope of U-M’s impressive public art collection.

UMMA is proud to announce that Laura De Becker, Chief Curator and Helmut and Candis Stern Curator of African Art, has been honored with a prestigious national award for Curatorial Excellence from the Arts Council of the African Studies Association (ACASA).

As reported recently in the New York Times, a coalition of 10 art museums, all on public university campuses, are set to play a crucial role in the 2024 U.S. presidential election season.

Supported by the Kingfisher Foundation, the Chinese Object Study Workshops will transition to UMMA—first program scheduled for 2025
